The challenge of quantifying social impact

Our co-founder Ben Morton joined Anouk Heilen, Global Sustainability Director for Social Impact at Unilever, and Sandhya Sabapathy, Head of Community & Social Impact UK/I at The Adecco Group, at the IR Magazine ESG Integration Forum to discuss Social Impact and how companies are tackling it.

A fascinating discussion and what is clear is that while a lot of fantastic work is being done, it is often difficult to quantify. Understandably, for many, the narrative still focuses on the inputs, as opposed to the outputs. It’s been said many times before but while there is still no consistent approach to analysis and metrics (and we are not convinced there should be) companies – of all sizes – need to take control of their social agenda, engage with their stakeholders and manage their expectations appropriately.

If you would like to discuss this subject or other ESG matters, please do not hesitate to contact us.
