For the last decade, Fergus has advised and worked with the Board, senior management, and internal teams of both public and private companies guiding and implementing ESG strategies within their business and value chain. His area of specialisation is looking at the different material elements of ESG for each business and how they should be embedded within the organisation to be a driver of value as well as resilience. He is fundamental believer that, when implemented properly, the elements of ESG can demonstrate a strong return on investment. Fergus also specialises in meeting the fast-changing sustainability compliance and reporting landscape and how to use the regulatory process and data requirements to improve operational decision-making.

Prior to co-founding SIFA Strategy, Fergus spent 20 years advising regional and international businesses on their capital markets’ reputations and investor relations as well as completing numerous domestic and cross-border financial transactions. His industry experience ranges across multiple sectors including consumer and retail, financial and professional services, industrials, real estate, utilities and mining. He has lived and worked in the UK, Africa and France and advised companies from Europe, Asia, Australasia, Africa and North America. Previously, Fergus was President of a global reputation and capital markets consultancy. He has a BSc from Edinburgh University.
